At the end of 2021, we installed a new Istobal Tracer overhead touchless machine at the Euro Hand Wash car wash facility at Bankstown in Sydney’s Western Suburbs.
The new owner of the business approached Good Sight for a viable solution to reduce his overheads and operating costs by automating his newly acquired venture.
We sat down with him and went through the pros and cons of the various machine options and explained the viabilities of both touchless and soft wash equipment.
The site has been in the area for many years, operating in the popular ‘Hand Car Wash Cafe’ format.
This business format had become fairly tired and was in need of an equipment upgrade and overall facelift so it was more inviting to customers.

Considering the owner’s budget, size of the site, location and clientele using the facility, the decision was made to install the Istobal Tracer.
This touchless, overhead machine works very well at self-service facilities. It can even incorporate a valet service in conjunction with the onsite cafe.
To complement the facility, improve efficiency and increase revenue, we installed two GinSan IVS commercial vacuum systems.
The vacuums are able to work as part of the self-service or valet aspects of the car wash facility.
Our NSW team worked around COVID restrictions and lockdowns.
The equipment installation was scheduled to commence just as the second round of COVID shutdowns were implemented in Sydney. Thankfully our NSW installation team was able to work through the constantly evolving challenges and restrictions of a city in lockdown.
The business owner is now reaping the rewards.
The site has now been totally revamped with even the cafe undergoing a complete refurbishment.
Best of all, the owner is reaping the rewards of the changes, seeing an increase in new customer patronage and retention. The addition of the Tracer automatic car wash fills a void that has been missing in the area without the overhead costs involved from manual labour in the former hand wash facility.
