This is the third automatic car wash Good Sight has installed at the Bowen Hills site. The first served the site for approximately 15 years, followed by a second machine that operated for around 14 years.

More height and width to accommodate larger vehicles
The previous machine’s height and width limited the vehicles it could accommodate.
The M’WASH2 range offers passage heights from 2.3 to 2.9 metres and passage widths of 2.4 or 2.6 metres, depending on the configuration.
The new installation provides greater clearance, allowing the site to accommodate a wider range of vehicles, including suitably sized 4WDs, larger utes, vans and imported pickup trucks.
A straightforward installation without structural changes to the wash bay
The new M’WASH2 machine fitted easily into the existing wash bay without any structural changes.
Our technicians removed the old machine, taking it away for recycling.
With the wash bay clear, the owner took the opportunity to refresh the space, repainting the floor and thoroughly cleaning the walls, windows and Colorbond ceiling in preparation for the new machine installation.
Improved, customer-focused payment options
Another noticeable improvement was the installation of a new ISTOBAL CODEC payment terminal.
Previously, customers had to enter the service station, purchase a car wash code and then enter it at the old terminal.
Customers can now pay at the terminal or in-store.
The upgraded CODEC entry system allows customers to select their preferred wash and simply tap their credit card or use Apple Pay at the car wash entrance. There is no need to enter the store.
Customers can still purchase a wash inside the store using cash or card. This retains the opportunity for staff to upsell a car wash to customers buying petrol.
Direct payment also creates opportunities to capture car wash business after store hours, without requiring customers to purchase a code from the counter.
New technology for a cleaner wash
While on site, we upgraded the site’s water treatment system. The new technology helps deliver a cleaner finish for customers and reduce mineral build-up in the equipment.
The water softener removes hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium through ion exchange. This helps detergents work effectively and reduces scale build-up in the washing equipment and reverse osmosis membranes.
The reverse osmosis (RO) system passes water through a fine membrane to remove dissolved salts and minerals.
Used for the final rinse, this purified water helps prevent water spots as the vehicle dries.
